Annual Research Conference 2021

The European Commission’s Annual Research Conference will take place on 15 November 2021.

The theme of this year’s edition is ‘Charting the European economy post Covid-19: unusual times require unconventional policies’.

The European Commission, Directorate General Economic and Financial Affairs, is running a call for posters for young researchers in the fields of economics or finance on the theme of the conference.

All Atlantic Forum 2021

The All-Atlantic2021 – All-Atlantic R&I for a Sustainable Ocean: Ministerial High-Level & Stakeholders Conference will take place under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in close cooperation with the European Commission, aiming to strengthen Research & Innovation cooperation across and along the Atlantic Ocean, from “pole to pole”.

OECD Science, Technology and Innovation Outlook 2021 - Insights for EU policy debates

How have science, technology and innovation national systems responded to the COVID19 pandemic?

Building on the findings from the OECD Science, Technology and Innovation Outlook 2021, the event will discuss the critical role that research and innovation have played in tackling the COVID-19 crisis, from improving our understanding of the disease to the rapid development of vaccines.

All atlantic ocean research forum

The event, hosted by the Department of Science and Innovation, South Africa in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, will digitally bring together ocean leaders, policy-makers, youth, researchers, entrepreneurs, academics, civil society and many inspirational speakers!

EU GReen Week

EU Green Week 2020 is now scheduled for 19-22 October 2020, on the theme of nature and biodiversity. After the adoption of a new EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 in May, Green Week will highlight the contribution biodiversity can make to society and the economy, and the role it can play in supporting and stimulating recovery in a post-pandemic world, bringing jobs and sustainable growth.
